On Livingston County’s western side enveloping the I-96 thoroughfare you’ll find acres of farmland, woods, open space, and right in the middle of it all a quiet little village with a friendly atmosphere.

Fowlerville, Michigan Real Estate

According to MLS data in 2015 the median sale price for residential properties was $160,000.

Residential homes located within the village limits have seen an increase in value and demand recently. Many investors and flippers have bought and remodeled or restored some of the older homes and made them very attractive for first time buyers or small families. The prices remain very affordable, and most homes are walking distance to the restaurants and shops downtown.

Larger families or homeowners who desire more space can certainly find it just a few miles outside the village. Fowlerville is where home buyers can find more rural locations than Howell or Brighton. There are many farms in the area and it’s perfect for anyone who would like to raise horses, chickens, cattle, or other animals without worrying about strict ordinances. It is very common for homes to be positioned on multiple acres of land. In fact, of all the residential properties that sold in 2015, the average lot size was 4 acres. For anyone used to city or condo living, it might be a big adjustment, however some find country living to be a breath of fresh air, quite literally.
